Hunter

There is a confusing fuzzy line between Scout and Hunter, as sometimes a scout will hunt creatures. In fact, as not all scouts are hired, sometimes they earn money through hunting in the same way. So the line is hard to draw.   Let's focus on what a hunter does. They take down other creatures, then gather applicable resources from their corpses. For example, a rabbit has both meat and fur to offer. A Dire Pangolin has scales, though not its meat unless the hunter is a poacher. Deer have meat, fur, and antlers. All resources that need to be harvested from the corpse and properly handled to not spoiled.   So then what makes a hunter? When their normal focus is to obtain animals to process into tradeable products. This definition distinguishes between the farmer that just grabs some extra meat, and the hunter that earns their living taking down prey. Additionally, a scout will go wherever, the hunt is just an addition at times. Thus, we arbitrarily define a difference.

Prejudices
A hunter will oft have to disembowel their prey, as well as tap their blood. Skinning requires treating the skin, which normally is done with one's own urine. All these parts combined mean that processing prey is a filthy job, which earns them contempt from snobs. The smell doesn't help either, to be honest.   Some play into it, others make up excuses to hide from the prejudices. Though honestly that almost only matters when dealing with nobility. Merchants tend to understand what it's like to have a hussle, while farmers and such perfectly understand making use of what resources you can gather.
Styles
Not every hunter acts the same. Some go out and take down prey from a distance, through ranged weaponry. Others might even face aggressive creatures with a hunting spear. There are also those that set traps instead, to capture prey then kill it after it exhausted itself trying to escape. Some of these are poachers, who use illegal traps or target off-limit creatures.   Lastly, there are chasers. These prefer to injure large prey, then follow the fleeing creature until it collapses. In some extreme cases, this could take days. The biggest problems for them are running into predators, or not being able to bring all resources home.
