Ricos Swiftfoot (a.k.a. The Quickslip Courier)
The door swung open, its bell chiming. From within the smoky confines of the shop a halfling could be seen. Leaning back in his chair, propped up by a pair of sturdy boots resting on the top of a desk, he glanced lazily through the eye not blocked by his traveller's cap. Few come to here unannounced. I can deliver, if you have the coin.. He swung his legs down from the desk, stood, and seized from a trio of hooks a travelling coat, courier's bag and rapier. After all, the Quickslip Courier delivers, provided there's enough cash to grease the wheels.
A sack of coins and a small parcel fell on the table from the visitor's hands. Wordlessly, Ricos examined the coins and parcel, placing each into the appointed place. The door's handle turned and the door opened, illuminating the room in a beam of light which hung on every mote of dust. In moments, the door again closed, and the room remained, as though Ricos was never there.

Slim but nonetheless muscular, Ricos carries himself with a dexterous manner that betrays a great deal of acrobatic ability.

Ricos commonly wears a brown leather travelling coat and matching slacks, with a pair of sturdy black leather boots. To match, he carries a courier's bag slung over one shoulder, and a thin red scarf.

Personal history
Ricos made a name for himself in the Andran Empire for braving the Pits of Wrath to deliver a noble's last will and testament to their family despite pursuit by a team of assassins. While his fame helped him find freelance courier work, he was eventually captured by the Andran Empire in connection with smuggling.
Owing to his fame and skill, the empire offered an alternative to prison: delivering weapons to isolated Andran espionage operations in neighbouring countries as part of their routine logistics network. As part of a small team, Ricos completed a number of associated missions to disrupt enemy supply operations and gather information (as well as smuggling weapons), and gained a good deal of wealth on the side due to looting from operational locations. Once satisfying his debt to the empire, he was recognized for his service and offered a position as local spymaster in Haversworth, which he accepted for a healthy salary, a relaxed workload, and a blind eye to the occasional smuggling.
He has for the past 5 years lived just outside Haversworth, and enjoys tending to his coffee plants and dog when not working.

Motivation
Ricos is in it for the money. Easy money means an easy life, so he thinks. That said, while he's not necessarily a coward, he's not really one to risk his own skin, and will often flee so long as nothing he cares about prevents him.
