Qirena (ki-RAN-AH)

Goddess of the wild & primal. An archfey who ascended to godhood due to the love between her and her followers, the Wildwalkers. She embodies the inherent freedom of nature, the spirit of creatures of the wild, and free choice. Not much is known about her, due to her selective nature. She rarely leaves her divine domain, running free in animal spirit form.   She belongs to neither Seelie or Unseelie court, making her popular among deserter fey.

Apperance

When in animal spirit form, Qirena resembles a larger version of whichever animal she chooses. Her preferred form is that of a painted wolf. On the rare occasion she leaves animal spirit form, her true form is said to resemble a centaur, but rather than a horse’s lower half, it was that of a painted wolf.

Personality

Not much is known about Qirena, as she is very selective about who she appears to. When she does make herself known, she is seen to be a loving god. She will answer the call of her chosen people, aiding them in fighting for their own freedom and the ability to make their own decisions. She welcomed all her children into her realm, but outsiders were met with the ferocity of a wolf defending its territory.

Artifacts

Thrill of the Hunt is a long bow used by Qirena. The full extent of its abilities is unknown, but it has been said that any living being struck by an arrow drawn from this bow could be tracked by The Huntress, no matter where they went in the multiverse.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Represented by a wolf’s paw print.

Holidays

The spring equinox is when the day and the night are equally as long, and are getting longer, and the beginning of spring.   The Fey, wildwalkers, and some druid celebrate this as the birth of Qirena.
