Visilargyian Citizenry

Roughly 36,000 people were known to live in the city before the disaster befell it and turned them into what they are today. Though untraceable now, a few dozen former citizens were able to escape with little knowledge of what had occurred during this time. The bulk caught within were turned into various forms of Undead, Aberrations, & Monstrosities; these entities have been further protected from the passage of time due to the unnatural aura that consumes the entire city. As time passed, a few creatures from outside of the city also got trapped within and became a part of the new denizens that called the city home.

Zombies & skeletons have been determined to make up the bulk of the civilian population that was left over as they died in the streets or their homes. Those who had untapped magical power had their physical forms ripped away as they were turned into Ghosts, Shrieks, and similar entities. Physically stronger individuals had their physical forms twisted to turn them into Ghouls, Aberrations, Monstrosities, and similar entities as the strange aura infused into their bodies. Bodies that fell into the water or died in close proximity arose as members of the drowned Undead while those who were infirmed/sickly became Rotfiends and other kinds of corpse eating Undead.
