Alteneia
Alteneia is one of the better-known gods, as her temple high in the mountains weathered the Raithar conquest better than most. Though it was eventually located and destroyed, it was not as thoroughly looted, failed to catch on fire, and was never occupied or built over. Largely because of this, perseverance through adversity is seen as the primary factor uniting her expansive domains.
Divine Domains
Alteneia is the ruler of the moon, winter, steel, and inevitable fate. She is god of all that remains no matter how it is destroyed, and of the cycle between safety and strife. As part of that cycle, she is also heavily associated with the study of history.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
The full moon (symbolizing that Valor is now in a time of safety, and as a reminder that the moon inevitably wanes), or a polearm with a curved blade.
Tenets of Faith
All that is will be destroyed, and all that is destroyed can return, just as the frost returns every Winter but melts again in the Spring.
Holidays
The full moon nearest the summer solstice is celebrated in Alteneia's honor. It is considered a day to embark on new goals or journeys, and to recognize your achievements and the achievements of those around you. It is also a reminder that fall is inevitable--and survivable. Alteneia's Day is a promise that, no matter what happens over the next year, this pinnacle of Summer and potential will come again.
