After a brief and intense argument, combat breaks out and the Cairn who took it upon themselves to stall the advancing military are slaughtered, marking the official start of the war. Vescania motions for its troops to begin a linear march to the Cairnbrow Mountains.

Battle of the Rock Plains
Military: BattleMarka's forces, reinforced with Karinga's warriors and Nivasan archers, mount a counterattack against the Vescanian forces in the Rock Plains. Thanks to the Karingan stall, the Vescanian forces were fatigued and low on food and water (their initial intel didn't capture the difficulty of navigating and surviving the Rock Plains). After just two days of fighting, the Vescanian forces turned to retreat. As they were chased to the coast, Cairn from the northern Rock Plains reported seeing Vescanian war ships sailing north. It was then that they realized this was only the beginning.
