Kwinzarn Cave is a common resting spot for travellers through the Ember Pass in the Tsargis Mountains. The Cave lies about halfway near the highest point in the pass. It's made up of frozen rock which remains icy year round, but it's deep and well protected from the elements. There's a weapon pile near the entrace that's built up around a magic spear. The pile is meant to pay respects to those who have died in the mountains, and it's a sign of bad luck to take any of the weapons no matter how useful or valuable they may be. Behind the pile, there are offerings to the gods for safe travel.   For all travellers through the pass, there's an unspoken truce. Enemy armies can both rest in the cave and break bread together, and even bandits won't rob merchants sleeping in the cave. They may lie in wait just out of sight, but the cave is a place of safety and protection for all. At the rear of the cave, blood moss grows and can be readily harvested year round. There are also pools of fresh water from the ice melting above creating a natural shallow basin of crystal clear water.   Rumor has it that before the cave was uncovered in the Third Dragon War, it used to be a dwarven treasure cache that's protected by ancient magic. No one is exactly sure how to break the spells that protect it, but whoever succeeds may just find riches beyond measure.   Getting to the cave is a challenge. There are frost ghouls on the route, undead who weren't given proper final rites and now haunt the places near where they died. Cave bears have made residence in the nearby caves along the trail, and mountain spirits love to steal shiny things off travellers and lure people to their deaths in a storm. The way that nothing evil seems able to enter the cave only adds to the belief that it's enchanted somehow.
