Music beans are enchanted beans to be able to play recorded music. Several varieties exist, and the shape of the beans means that they're easy to stick into one's ear to listen to. They're made by casting magic over the bean and then music is played. The caster must remain focused on the spell for the duration of the music. The volume of the played back music varies based on how close or far from the source the bean was at the time of recording. The cheapest beans are often recorded during a live performance with an audience and sold immediately after. Slightly more expensive are beans with recordings to an empty theater. The most expensive ones contain volume control. Operas and music concerts are the most common beans in circulation due to offering the most value for the cost. One mage can often enchant an entire table full of beans at once making these some of the cheapest magic items in the world.
