Screeching Sickness is a brain disease where patients typically only find relief by screaming. Due to the intense pain caused by the illness, those infected will scream until they ruin their vocal chords. The sound can be deafening to both the patient and those close by due to prolonged exposure. Typically, the only way to make the patient be quiet is to drug the person into sleeping. While curable with surgery, there are complications of death, personality changes, and loss of function depending on where the pain is located in the head. Unfortunately, many patients will commit suicide prior to receiving surgery due to how unbearable the pain is.
