Homework 1: Pledge Your Goal
I'm pledging to write 10,000 words for next month's World Ember! Last year, I was able to write 32,401 words which is an impressive amount for my first ever World Ember. Ideally, I'd love to beat it this year. But like before, I see 25,000 and 50,000 words as stretch goals. Those would be great to achieve, but I won't be upset if I don't quite hit them.Area of Focus
I don't have a strong area of focus this year other than to work on my enormous list of stubs for Valtena. There are over 500 stub articles, and I'd love to finally be able to take a crack at them. Of course, each stub has a tendency to spawn off more stubs of their own, but being able to fill out articles I've created will go a long ways for me to feel like I'm making progress.NovelEmber
I am going to attempt NovelEmber and writing 50,000 words of prose. I have no idea if I'll succeed, but I will certainly try! My main project is a collection of stories from my own life as a challenge from my boyfriend who keeps insisting that I have good stories to tell. If I either finish that or need anything else to write about, I'll mostly likely focus on telling short stories involving my roleplay characters or things within Valtena. Either way, it'll be a busy month for me with tons and tons of writing.250K Titan Storm Challenge
Last World Ember, I was introduced to this lovely website called 4thewords. It's a writing game where writing defeats monsters, and it's been massively helpful for me to keep writing and do so everyday. Everything is in multiples of fours, so for their November challenge, they released a daunting 250,000 words in 44 days quest. That requires writing 5,682 words a day! Thankfully, this includes any and all writing, so it's not just going to be worldbuilding and Novel Ember writing. This will bleed into WorldEmber, so that's why I'm including it here. And I hope it'll be a tough challenge that means even more words are added to Valtena.Current World
