ABOUT LAMPSHADE

Lampshade is a very social and upbeat dog, always eager to help anyone he can and often wanders the city doing just that. He’s practically a celebrity.
When he’s not doing that, he usually hangs out with his best friend Stratos and the rest of the Typhoon Squadron between missions.
As for physical appearance, Lampshade is a large dog with golden-red fur. He is a Brass Retriever, a dog breed specifically bred for their hardiness and long lifespans.
His eyes are unusually reflective, and they shimmer greenish-blue even in broad daylight. He has been tested multiple times checking for any problems that may be causing the glow, but it seems that his eyes just shine without much reason behind them. It doesn’t seem to bother him much, if at all.

BEFORE THE ELITE FORCE

Lampshade was raised in the prosperous city of Quill a short time after the War of Fallen Leaves. After Quill had won the war as well as domain over the newly discovered Clocktower Shrine , Lampshade and his parents gathered an investigation team to explore the mysterious structure.
Lampshade mostly came for emotional support, but ended up saving the crew’s lives on more than one occasion. With broken support beams, cursed items, and hidden deposits of Distilled Mana around every corner, the shrine was a lot more dangerous than it first appeared. Yet somehow, Lampshade noticed every hazard just in time.
A thousand averted crises later, the team had successfully and safely explored every available inch of the Clocktower Shrine with Lampshade’s help. He was heavily praised for his efforts.

When he and his parents returned from the shrine, they began testing him on his abilities. Lampshade had a knack for noticing danger, which only grew with each new test. It wasn’t long before he could tell whenever someone was concealing a weapon, track things for miles, and even help stop magic attacks.
After he learned these skills, he started accompanied his parents around Quill and making sure none of them got hurt. He was very good at his job, but no one quite knew why he was so protective of his family.

A few years later, he and his family moved to the city of Rubius, a place famous for keeping peace in Valyria. Lampshade’s skills fit right in to their Elite Force, and he worked with the Nebula Squadron for a short time before a member of his family, Stratos , took over the Typhoon Squadron. At that point, Lampshade was assigned to the Typhoon Squadron partially due to his skills, but mostly to keep an eye on Stratos.
From then on, he accompanied Stratos on his missions, making sure the young general didn’t get ahead of himself while helping the Typhoon Squadron safely avoid danger during their rescues.
