Pursuivant
Modern communication methods are a weakness in the eyes of The Invictus, and not just because they fear technology and the new (although that’s part of it). Phone calls can be tapped and emails intercepted in such a way that the sender and recipient never know The Message has been compromised. A coded letter or missive increases security, but nothing beats having a pursuivant messenger deliver the information in person, preferably verbally rather than committing secrets to paper.
The pursuivants of The Invictus are among their most important and prized roaming agents. Even the lowest neonate in this role is well trained and protected; everyone knows that harming an Invictus pursuivant is asking for swift and terrible retribution. For particularly sensitive or secret messages, the missive may be coded, broken into pieces and given to multiple pursuivants or psychically protected through use of Disciplines.
