Vauntcourier
The duty of a vauntcourier is simple — to announce the presence of the Invictus wherever it may act. The covenant’s power and status depends on the Kindred recognizing that power and status, and so it’s important to keep the Damned constantly aware of the Invictus’ achievements and prestige. Of course, vauntcouriers don’t just wander from city to city shouting, “The Invictus rules you!” Rather, they disseminate news and word of proximate Invictus’ triumphs to local covenant members, and gather information about local events to spread further. Vauntcouriers are also the Kindred who collate and transport information about the lineage and descent of Invictus members, so that vampires can gain greater prestige through reciting their lineage. It’s a role that’s part town crier, part traveling librarian, part PR manager and part visible distraction from whatever actions and achievements the Invictus doesn’t want made public.
