Thal Shield Projectors are an advanced Shielding system. These shields emit high-energy particles, creating a wall of energy that prevents ballistic and most energy-based attacks. They can also be set into a low permability mode, which allows for the passing of vehicles through the shield. Though, this mode allows ballistics and higher energetic energy weapons. Humans, regardless of the mode, cannot pass through them without being in a vehicle.

Technology Breakdown

Thal Shields use a breakthrough in energy manipulation that create protective barriers. The major components of the device include an Energy Core, Emitter Arrays, a Field Modulator, and a Control Interface. A quick explanation for each part is listed below:
  1. Energy Core: This is the central power source for mobile platforms and is the connection port for larger/stationary platforms. Often powered by fusion reactions or renewable resources like wind, solar or Hydroelectric, depending on situation.
  2. Emitter Arrays: A Conical metal peice with a sphere at the point of the cone. This part is what projects and shapes the shield based on a preset mode or shaped by the Emitters layout. There is a main emitter that holds the control interface and the energy core. These emitters create a uniform field that The strength of the field can be controlled from the control panel located on the main emitter.
  3. Field Modulator: This component is what regulates the strength and permability of the field. There is a built in limited AI that can be used to adapt of the fly and change modes, strength and permability as needed without input.
  4. Control Interface: The control interface is located on the main emitter, usual located near the center of the projection. The interface has a touch screen display that can project a 3D rendering of the projected area. The interface can be used to see energy output, change field strength and threat levels based on the energy needed to maintain the field.

  • Personal Shields: Can be used as a portable personal defense shield. Most often used in military situations, but law enforcement and civilians can utilize it as well.
  • Vehicle Shields: Mounted to the vehicle that needs protecting. It prevents damage from enemy as well as enviromental damages. Almost all vehicles that can support the energy needed to run the shield can have one mounted. Best used on Ground and spaceships, this shield offters a great balance between protection and cost.
  • Spaceship Airlocks/Hangers: This technology can be used as a transparent hanger door that can allow or prevent ships from entering. This helps keep the atmosphere in the ship while allowing spaceships to pass through if desired.
