Elizabeth Hartford

None seem as insignificant and small to the great adventurers of Vandariel as a lowly receptionist. To all appearances, the Head Receptionist of Andaria's "Adventurer's Guild of Vandariel" is a simple woman that moves pieces of paper around and explains the rules of the guild to newbie adventurers - a person who exists solely to execute the will of the Guilds Master, Captain Estellise de Signos. However underneath the stern, professional exterior lies a mind so sharp as to potentially be the most intelligent human in the entire country.   Indeed, the truth is that 90% of executive decisions taken by the Guild are purely the product of Miss Hartford. She has free reign over the Guilds activities and day-to-day running, and her rule is with an iron fist. Mistakes are not tolerated among the desk staff, but those who perform well report that Miss Hartford is actually a kind manager who merely expects all her staff to adhere to her own strict standards - one she holds herself to above all else.   It is thanks to Elizabeth that the Guild is able to communicate cross vast spaces, as she used some unknown connections to set up the Tube system, which uses some form of magic to send messages instantaneously. Obviously this is a great boon to Guild operations, allowing for peoples across the realm to access the network of quests and requests that can be undertaken.   She also has a strange connection to the Guild Master, Estellise, as the pair appear to have known each other for a long time, but the details of how they came to be at the founding of the guild is a mystery.   Elizabeth is a human woman of indeterminate age, appearing roughly mid-thirties, with hazel eyes and dark brown hair that reaches roughly to her waist, tied in two tight pigtails. She wears the dark blue uniform of the Guild desk staff, and small thin, gold-rimmed eyeglasses.
