Key of Nobility
Appearing on the surface to be a simple house key, albeit unusually large, the Key of Nobility is in actuality a symbol of the prestigious Gentleman's Association. As the name suggests, the GA is a club for the sons (and, perplexingly, daughters) of noble houses, who all most likely have keys to some great mansion or other, and as such the Key is considered subtle enough to carry on ones person to signal membership to fellows, while not being suspicious.
While they maintain a veneer of legitimacy, most know that the GA is effectively a thieves guild - indeed they are rumoured to have strong connections to Sanarias official Guild of that name, and even stronger rumours hold that the GA was given official status due to the intervention of one of the Pilgrims, several of whom were Sanarian thieves themselves. As such having a calling card that can identify you as a thief without allowing marks to suspect anything is a great boon to GA members, and what can be more innocuous than a simple house key?
The keys themselves are made of solid brass, the handle shaped into a very florid and stylized heart shape. The prongs differ by member and can be used to open each persons individual lockbox within the Association's halls. Tampering with, taking a key or opening a lockbox without the owners express permission is expressly forbidden, and will at the very least lead to your expulsion and at worst result in a bounty upon your head - and with the amount of wealth the flows in the upper echelons of the association, it is always a number that will tempt even the most elite assassins.
It is said that some Keys are also skeleton keys, capable of mutating to open any lock, but this is always tossed aside as pure fantasy by actual members of the group.
