Usulli Wilds
Nestled between the Elaan mountain range to the north and the ordered farmlands of the Kingdom of Foros lies the Usulli Wilds. A lush forest with all manner of plants of fae origin, it is the holy lands of the goddess Usul, and the ancestral home of the Spritefolk. It is rumoured to be where the entrance to the Feywild is located.
The forest is difficult to traverse, as all manner of creatures both seelie and unseelie lurk within to tempt and trap the unwary traveller. Many rules of the fey must be followed within its boundaries, with the punishments for not following them coming swift and without mercy.
It is here that many of the domesticated animals of the world originally hail from, as the Sprites delight in breeding unusual creatures together - an example of this is the Purtle, a now-common hybrid of the common brown duck and the jewel-shell turtle.
Those who know the way, or those who have been invited, may find the faerie circles dotted throughout the forest that act as gateways to the Sprites pocket realm of Hadrul. These are often guarded by Sprite rangers, however, and their legendary accuracy spells the end for any who would approach without permission.
Geography
The northwest edge of the Wilds backs on to the sea, looking out over distant Iskan. Along this edge, pointing out in that direction, is a mysterious stone construction resembling an enormous magnifying glass. None save the Sprites know what its purpose is, but they can often be seen dancing in the circle created by the lens' outer ring, lit by refractions of the borealis.
Fauna & Flora
The trees in the Wilds come in a wide variety of colours that defy explanation or logic - each trees colour seems randomly selected but are mostly shades of orange, red and pink. They are commonly over 50 feet tall, with smooth trunks until roughly 15-20 feet up, giving the impression that one is walking through a crafted canopy.
