Zo'rinne

Her Holiness, Oracle of Zol

The current Oracle of Zol is a controversial choice - the youngest sister of the current High Priestess, Zo'lessa, was considered a result of nepotism until her position was unquestionably cemented by the events that occurred during her ascension ritual.   Every Oracle must undergo the ascension rites to show their worthiness, and in most cases in the past it has been purely for show. However as soon as the then-named Sin'rinne stepped upon the Altar of the Sun atop the Temple Zol, the sun began to burn brighter than before, and the peoples gathered on the rocky mountaintop below bore witness to a manifestation of their god, a giant winged man with his eyes and mouth bound, great golden wings fracturing the light from the sun behind him.   Zol then spoke, his voice echoing from the lips of the tiny child on the dais - he spoke of his disappointment in the peoples belief in false Oracles (referring presumably to the previous Oracle Zo'kess, who had not truly been chosen but was a purely political appointee after the murder of the true Oracle) and he admonished his people for allowing themselves to be tricked into causing the Blight. He told the Zolus that they must focus on removing the corruption in their midst before attempting to meddle in foreign affairs, and then was gone.   Zo'rinne can in no way be denied as a true Oracle, as her very few years mean she has little capability for political scheming or subterfuge, and she relies very heavily on her elder sister Zo'lessa for guidance. She is a sweet, placid child who mostly just wants to sit and commune with her god, which is how she spends most of her days.   Zo'rinne is seven years old, has very long, straight jet-black hair and olive skin. Her eyes were originally a very dark brown, however her connection with Zol has turned them bright gold, glowing from within.
