Moradin, God of Labour

WHAT IS BELIEVED ABOUT MORADIN?

He is thought to be a hard worker, who values work over conversation. Although the god of all labour and not just physical work, he is often seen as the God of the common man (such as miners, farmers and blacksmiths), as those who focus on mental labour (such as scholars and sages) often flock to Danu instead, although some scholars do pray to him. He’s considered an honest man who rewards honest workers.  

HOW IS MORADIN PORTRAYED?

He is portrayed as a very big, very strong man in his thirties. He is shown often working with the horse rather than riding it.  

WHERE IS MORADIN PORTRAYED?

Like every god, artwork of him can be seen within temples dedicated to him, as well as temples dedicated to The Nine. His symbol can be seen in shops, businesses and mines. It is common to gift someone a item related to Moradin for their first day at a job  

HOW DO PEOPLE PRAY TO MORADIN?

It is common that people will own small blocks of wood or metal which they have taken the time to carve. This is used in prayer to Moradin. Those who are more devout may create more intricate pieces, or create new carvings every time they pray.  

WHY DO PEOPLE PRAY TO MORADIN?

For assistance while working, for the motivation to do a day of labour, for safely while labouring, for success at a job.  

WHAT ARE THE IDEALS ASSOCAITED WITH MORADIN?
