History
When the Genasi were forced to settle their own colony after the tragedy of Halt Lit Island they were worried about the upcoming war between the other races. So the Genasi opted to make their colony in the most isolated place in Astiria. Banyan was settled in the year 60 with a strict rule that only the Genasi could be citizens in the town. The Genasi formed their own government called the Conclave in which a representative from each of the 4 factions had a vote. When Leck went around reuniting settlements under the rule of one empire, the Genasi insisted on war. They exhausted almost all of their resources in the battles and the economy never fully recovered. In the end Emperor Leck did not press the advantage, and Banyan lies completely separate from the rest of Astiria. In the year 1000 Banyan signed a contract with Emperor Leck saying that it would be officially part of Astiria, but Banyan was still to be for Genasi only, Leck reluctantly agreed, and the two sides still bicker about the immigration issue all the time.
Description
Banyan is located to the south of The Silver Mountains and is split into 4 territories. massive in size and is designed for the comfort of each of the Genasi subrace. The most powerful of these territories is the Earth Genasi land. Banyan specifically is the city in the middle of these territories. Banyan is where the government is established and all trade passes through. The boats in Banyan only sail to Brightpeak and back.
