History
Chani was founded by a conglomeration of races in Emperor Leck's Settle the East campaign. The town was built because of its prime supply of gold and copper ore that it lay above. Chani followed through with light slavery for a while until in the year 563 where they enacted that all criminals shall be made into slaves for life. This caused crime to completely stop in Chani so in the year 895 the town voted and claimed that every family of over 2 children had to send one to work in the mines. Once the children were 18 they were set free into the town of Chani. This continued until only child slaves were used in the town and it became an odd tradition of having parents abandon a child at birth to then see them as an adult around two decades later. In the year 1269 Chani abolished slavery altogether, the profits had made the town rich enough that they could stop and question the morals of what they were truly doing.
