Faltonez
Faltonez
Population: 790
Races: Almost Entirely Dragonborn
Status: Moderate
History
The town of Faltonez was founded by a group of 30 dragonborns who escaped the tragedy of Half-Lit Island. They were initially blamed for the tragedy and were shunned from the other survivors quickly, they ended up moving to the mountains and settled the land of Faltonez in the year 87. Despite being a very old town its size is relatively small. This is most likely due to their fierce worship of the Dragon god Null. They believe that Null requires sacrifices to be appeased and they pick members of their own to be offered to the god each summer. Dragonborn who do not practice the worship of Null are kicked out and move to more populated towns.
Description
The land surrounding Faltonez is harsh and filled with ravines and cave systems that are dangerous and easy to fall into. There is also a large camp of goblins who live in the land a few miles out of the main town. The goblins raid travelers who come from The Happy Dragon. Though they rarely leave the canyon. The road leading up to the Dragonborn town is long and twisty, this is because the ravines and cracks surrounding the town are difficult to see and sprawling all over.. There is also a known sinkhole trend in the area. The road is about 3 miles long but only covers a distance of a mile. The architecture of the town is mostly made of clay, except for the massive cathedral that is dedicated to Null, it is made out of a smooth black stone that forms here called Dlanno. People who aren't dragonborn aren't allowed in the Cathedral.
