History
Firon was settled in the year 393 because some people didn't want to walk all the way to the coast and it served as a town that everyone had to pass through to get to the east coast. Firon was a prosperous farming community and traded with local settlements. In the year 598 for unknown reasons a volcanic explosion erupted underneath the town. Massive red crystals grew from the lava and in a one-mile radius around Firon the area lies scourged with crystals and lava alike. Because of this, the temperature in the area grew to be incredibly hot, being unbearable to most creatures. Thus Fire Genasi, Dragonborn, and Tieflings were the only ones who stayed in town. The Firon Crystals are unbreakable but can be harvested in small amounts. These crystals are harvested by adventurers with the help of the town and sold for immense profits. The town is no longer passed through to get to the east coast and is instead avoided by all but the bravest adventurers.
Description
Firon is surrounded by volcanic fire, in a large radius. Large red Firon Crystals grow throughout the scourged terrain. The town itself is fortified from the lava and has lots of large menacing towers. Most outsiders are not appreciated in Firon and it operates outside of the normal Astiria laws. There are stone paths and bridges that are constructed through the hot lands, while it is possible to journey to the city of Firon it is very dangerous without protection. Fire salamanders and elementals are known to roam the land below the bridges.
