History
Those who have not seen Gingko in person before, but only on the map will immediately notice the strange and distinctive curvature of the forest surrounding it. Stranger still is the fact that if an uneducated or novice cartographer were to look at maps dating around 45 years ago, the town of Gingko wouldn’t even appear. This is because Gingko was built only in the year 1263, and came as a result of the recently discovered silver veins in the caves that freckle the forest that was once far larger. In order to establish the town, create tools for mining expeditions and uncover other potential silver caverns 200 total workers were dispatched from the surrounding cities to begin work, leading to massive lumbering projects which gave the forest that same distinctive curve.
Description
The town of Gingko had grown significantly, quadrupling in size and quickly establishing successful trade with towns around the country. Shops, inns, small schoolhouses, and a town hall were all also created within the past fifteen years, making Gingko an official, well-regarded part of the Empire. This same success and flourishing have in the past attracted the attention of bandits, brigands, and other unfavorable types. To counter these, the towns of Zotzol and Brockston have sent small forces to simultaneously protect the town and train some of the populus in combat. The area surrounding Ginkgo is the ruins of an ancient civilization that predates the year 0
