Ancient Tongue

During the dawn of man, there were no advanced languages like Latin and Japanese. The only language that was spoken by everyone worldwide is known as Ancient Tongue, a very simplified yet complicated language. As the world advanced they were running out of words for things, so each faction slowly developed their own languages tailored to their way of thinking and the understanding of the world. Thus the different languages were formed.
In the present day, very few can speak and understand Ancient Tongue, and those that can are not fluent.
