Shadow Mountain

History

During the extremely long war between The Knights Order and The Northern Raiders, a battle would take place upon Shadow Mountain which would last for 3 years before they finally took control of it. Many, many lives were lost on both sides but it was a monumental victory for The Knights Order as it was originally The Northern Raiders anchor point and was extremely well fortified and stocked full of supplies and soldiers, hence why they were able to keep up the defence for so long.
The main base location was about halfway up the mountain on a side which the sun never properly touched so they were silhouetted against it, making an already difficult vertical assault even harder. A high ranking captain was sent to lead the assault to take control of the huge fortress, half-built into the mountain, but was quickly struck down during their initial assault by a hail of flaming arrows coming from up the mountain.
