Zovim

Summary

During the first era, Iori Isono discovered findings and theories of a dragon which had the potential of being a category 6. Category 6 dragons had the power to destroy the entire world if they deemed it so, however, none had ever been considered to exist.   Iori Isono put a team of explorers, mercenaries, and her devout followers together to try and discover any proof of the dragon. The team were gone for months and none ever returned, not even Iori. To this day the potential dragon which The Knowledge Guild named Zovim remains a myth and no proof of the dragon has ever been found. A few eyewitnesses claim to have seen it lurking around Mount Immolate, the huge volcano which has made thousands of square kilometers around it uninhabitable after the massive eruption in the year 2531 AC. Many other expeditionary teams have set out to try and find it, but every single one has either returned empty-handed or not at all.

Historical Basis

Many people believed that in the first days of the world's formation when Mount Immolate first erupted, Zovim was born out of the ash and flames, but no living person ever laid eyes upon it. A song was created by the people of Zhangwu inspired by the rumors of the world eater.

Spread

The rumour was contained by The Knowledge Guild for as long as possible to not create wide-spread panic but eventually the information was leaked by a deserter of the guild.

Cultural Reception

The people of Zhangwu praise the dragon as a deity but no formal religion has been founded around it. The Knights and Vikings of Loch Lomond are wary of its existence but feel if it does exist, they might be able to get it on their side. Amatsu's people are hell-bent on hunting and destroying the dragon at all costs.
