Supreme Conduit to The Unseen One

The Supreme Conduit to the Unseen One is the highest religious leader of the Tharakni people.
The Supreme Conduit to the Unseen One is believed to be an individual without fault, flaw, or vice. They are The Gateway to communicate with The Unseen One. Greater Conduits and Lesser Conduits are recruited and trained from the general population. These Conduits are less-than-perfect and less attuned with The Unseen One.
From a young age, they are trained in The Way of The Unseen One. There can only be one Supreme Conduit at any moment of time. Once a Supreme Conduit is within the last years of their life they receive a prophecy over a child that will be chosen for the next Supreme Conduit.
The training process is rigorous and often consumes every waking moment of the child's life. Review of the sacred texts, daily meditation with the Supreme Conduit, and obtaining physical perfection are but a few of the processes elements.

Qualifications

Chosen as a child, from a prophecy received by the Aging Conduit. The child must be without physical deformity, have a sound mind, and a heightened sense of morals. The sense of morals is the hardest to judge. Especially since the child is typically 5-7 years old. The moral understandings must also be independent and not the beliefs or understandings of the child's parents.

Appointment

Appointment happens during the ceremonial Passing of The Scepter and Vestments.
