Dragon Turtles

Dragon turtles are massive legendary sea turtles that existed at the time the world was created. Only three dragon turtles are known to have lived, named Tortugan, Teoteul, and Tcharapa.

Teoteul

Teoteul was a female dragon turtle that died of loneliness and a broken heart in the sea south of the Manylith Islands. The corpse rotted and burst during the Age of Catastrophe, creating the Poison Sea.

Tortugan

Tortugan was a male dragon turtle that originally was composed of the northern half of an island of of the northwestern corner of the mainland before breaking away. Tortugan was driven mad by hunger and loneliness, and attempted to attack the Bay Elves during the Age of Catastrophe and was killed by the Guillotine Bridge in the Guillotine Narrows, giving the narrow pass its name.

Tcharapa

Tcharapa is the only known living dragon turtle. Tcharapa remained dormant in the southern half of the island from which Tortugan emerged until the Age of History, when she was awoken by The Faceless  Borrowers, who created the city of Börg on her surface.
