Celestial Diviner
Requirements
Must have excellent charisma in order to gain and keep followers.
They can smoothly dish out convincing lies, even those outside the group think the diviners believe the nonsensical things that comes out of their mouths.
Appointment
The demon itself indicates who shall speak for it through visions. These will appear while meditating on the eye on a clear night while both moons are new allowing for perfect viewing.
Responsibilities
- To observe the Demon's Eye and interpret its wishes to its followers.
- Perform the necessary sacrificial rituals to the eye.
- Directs the inner circle of celestial guides.
- Appoints individuals to their respective positions.
- Comes up with new rules and duties for the cult to follow.
Benefits
Control over others, can obtain whatever it desires just by asking.
Will live comfortably without the need of doing any intensive labor.
Accoutrements & Equipment
An eyeless mask covers the top of the face, eyes must remain covered during the day. The diviner is only allowed to observe the the night sky, looking at anything else will inhibit its ability to interpret the Demon's will. The decorative sash indicates its position of power at the head of the group.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The only time a diviner is replaced is if the current one dies. So far there has been two, the first was killed in a deception by its replacement.
History
The first diviner seemed to truly believe that the Demon's Eye could grant power to it's followers. The rituals it insisted on doing would help transfer the power from the heavens to blessed objects placed on the alter.
The highest ranked celestial guide at the time became disillusioned after too many pointless tedious tasks. Realizing that its leader does nothing but order others around, decided to take matters into its own hands.

Your idea here seems really creative. I am left wondering if the Celestial Diviner is a person, a group of people, or some sort of creature? Your drawing looks like the Celestial Diviner is a dragon, perhaps? I'm no one to give advice or instructions, but I'd love to see a more complete description of the Celestial Diviner and for you to flesh out Varitinera. It looks like you have some creative ideas!
Your right in that it's not really complete. To clarify the celestial diviner is a title and could be held by any species capable of fulfilling the roll. The current one is a creaviae who I haven't made an article for yet.
