Festival of Lux
The festival is to show the spirits they are welcome as they wait for Light to gather them. completelylikelyindividuals but can be appeased with offerings, this is believed to help prevent the formation of more Fthorskotos.
History
This festival has disappeared from Norm except for a couple of towns. It has lead to widespread problems with fthorskotos and disruptions to life cycles throughout the region
Execution
In the weeks before the festival, colorful glowing fungi are harvested to use as the base for paint. Participants cover themselves with the luminescent paint to blend in and allow spirits to perceive them as friendly.
Plenty of food is prepared to be used as offerings and in the feasts, during which there are games and storytelling.
Large bonfires are started to light up the cool nights as Sun is weakened for the remainder for the year and Light begins to rise in power.
Observance
Takes place during the autumn Autumn Equinox and lasts from three days to a week (depending on the area)
