It is an old tradition for the suitor to bring a decorated skull of a particularly difficult hunt to the father of the one being courted, to show their prowess and ability. However any successful hunt that is brought and shared with the family is equally as valued.

The base ideals of lyrac are to protect each other and provide for each other. A typical joining ceremony involves a long somewhat dangerous hunt together and is fulfilled when the quarry is brought down and shared with the now joined families.

They have remained relatively primitive in comparison to the rest of the world, however now that technology is very very rare, they are well equipped to deal with the wilds which all face. This includes proficiency with bows, knives, axes, and staves.

Common nomadic clothing and or work attire, hunters wear light leather armor sometimes adorned with Skrish feathers.
Most common occupations for non mage lyracs are hunters, armor makers, tanners, and scouts. Common among lyrac mages are healers, plant mages, and tribal enchanters. Therefore the attire is varied.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Most common among the lyrac are the followers of Astaal and Orran the goddesses of life and death. Being a more nomadic hunter gatherer race they put their faith in the most primal gods of the earth.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
While they are no longer as nomadic as they once were, speed and endurance is valued within their clans. Yearly races are held as rites of passage for the young in each clan.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Being nomadic hunters, they mostly barter and trade which is even more relevant now that there is no longer a global currency. After the cataclysm many of the other species had a hard time adjusting to a new life without technology and currency and many looked to the lyrac for help. With the lyracs help people of all species and race were able to quickly relearn basic survival essentials such as hunting, fishing, building shelters. Slowly as everyone began to rebuild a more widespread appreciation for the planet was gained thanks to the tribal teachings from the lyrac elders.
