Dharnom & Naza Stavenger
Dharnom and Naza Stavenger were born to a Tiefling couple in Ostenward who were both devout followers of the beauty of music and art. Their parents were both accomplished musicians and had instilled a love of music and performance in their children from a very young age, though after both parents fell ill (or poisoned as some rumors are to be believed) they two children were left along.
They are known to wander amongst the city, and decently taken care of. Though one day, when Dharnom was seven years old and Naza was only four, they went wandering outside the city walls. The children had heard stories from their parents of a magical forest outside the city that was said to be inhabited by fantastical creatures. They were curious and wanted to explore the forest for themselves.
Unfortunately, they were not prepared for the dangers that awaited them. A beast had been spotted in the tree lines near the same time, and it wasn't long before the children found themselves face to face with the monstrous, mutated, cave bear. The children were terrified, but they managed to evade the bear and took refuge in a nearby cave.
The cave was known as the Cave of Songs, and it was said by their parents to be haunted by the spirits of ancient bards. The children had heard stories of the cave and were thrilled to explore it. However, they soon realized that they were not alone in the cave....
The Cartographers Guild had sent an expedition out to find the children and the beast. The group had come upon the bear and managed to take it down, but they could not find any signs that the beast had eaten the children. They continued their search and eventually found the children's footprints in some dried mud near a small pool in the cave.
The pool had a small underground tunnel that the children had fallen into. The Cartographers dove down and found a waterlogged, stone archives, in which the children were hiding, as well with a strange pair of sentient butterfly wings. The children had found two small red bear cubs in the cave, rolling around and wrestling. The bear cubs slowly approached the pair and quickly began to start playing with Dharnom & Naze when they all fell into the pool, though no signs of the bears were seen.
The Cartographers were relieved to find the children alive and unharmed, but they knew that they had to return them to Ostenward. The journey back was long and difficult, but eventually, they made it back to the city.
