Grommulus
Grommulus was born into a small goblin community deep in the Spine Breakers. From a young age, he had a passion for cooking and experimenting with different ingredients. His interest in cooking started when he was a child, and he would often sneak into the kitchens of the nearby human villages to watch the cooks prepare meals.
As Grommulus grew older, his passion for cooking only intensified, but his community didn't appreciate his culinary skills. They viewed his interest in "human" food as a weakness and often ridiculed and teased him for it. Despite this, Grommulus continued to pursue his passion in secret, experimenting with different ingredients and techniques whenever he could.
One day, while he was foraging for mushrooms in the forest, Grommulus stumbled upon an old cookbook that had been discarded by a group of passing adventurers. The cookbook was filled with recipes from all over the world, and Grommulus was fascinated by the different spices and ingredients he had never heard of before.
For months, Grommulus studied the cookbook and experimented with its recipes. He even began to combine different ingredients and techniques from different regions, creating his own unique dishes. Eventually, he gained a reputation among the other goblins as an expert cook, but he still faced criticism and ridicule from many of them.
One day, Grommulus decided he had had enough. He packed up his few belongings and left his community, determined to follow his passion for cooking and discover new ingredients and recipes. He wandered the Spine Breakers, living off the land and using his cooking skills to barter for supplies and shelter.
It was during this time that Grommulus stumbled upon a herd of Giant Musk Oxen and decided to become a herder. He quickly realized that the oxen enjoyed his cooking and that he could use his culinary skills to keep them healthy and happy. This led him to team up with Bobo, a bugbear who was also interested in herding, and together they have been wandering the mountains and valleys with their herd ever since. Every spring, Grommulus and Bobo make the journey down the mountains to graze their herd on the grassy plains. They are familiar faces to the local farmers and merchants, who often trade goods and stories with them. However, they always return to their mountain home once the grazing season is over, where they can be found tending to their oxen and enjoying Grommulus' cooking.

Grommulus, Bobo, & the Troll
Grommulus was tending to the herd of Giant Musk Oxen when he heard the sound of heavy footsteps approaching. He looked up and saw a towering troll lumbering towards them, its eyes fixed on the herd. Grommulus felt a wave of fear wash over him. He had heard stories of trolls before, but had never actually seen one in person. He knew that they were dangerous creatures, capable of tearing apart even the strongest of animals. He quickly grabbed his cooking utensils and tried to shoo the oxen away from the troll, hoping to scare it off. But the troll seemed unfazed, and continued to approach the herd with its massive club raised high. Grommulus knew that he had to act fast. He pulled out a few of his favorite cooking spices and threw them in the air towards the troll, hoping that the strong smell would distract it. To his surprise, the troll stopped in its tracks and began to sniff at the air. Taking advantage of the troll's momentary confusion, Grommulus quickly led the oxen away from the troll and towards safety. He could hear Bobo fighting the troll in the distance, and knew that he needed to get the herd to safety before going to help his friend. Once he had safely led the herd to a nearby cave, Grommulus quickly made his way back to where he had left Bobo. When he arrived, he found Bobo engaged in a fierce battle with the troll. Grommulus knew that he had to act fast if they were going to defeat the creature. He quickly grabbed his cooking pot and filled it with some of the troll's blood. He then threw in some of his favorite spices and began to chant a cooking spell that he had learned long ago. As he chanted, the pot began to glow and emit a strange, sweet-smelling smoke. The troll, distracted by the smoke, lowered its guard for just a moment. Bobo took advantage of this and struck the troll with all his might, bringing it down to the ground. Grommulus quickly poured the contents of the cooking pot over the troll's head, and it let out a final, gurgling cry before falling silent. Grommulus and Bobo stood there for a moment, catching their breath and looking at the creature they had just defeated. Grommulus couldn't help but smile to himself - not only had he saved his beloved herd, but he had also managed to use his cooking skills to help defeat a troll.--Goals:"Grommulus' goal is to perfect his culinary skills and discover new ingredients and recipes.
