Ka-El
A ram horned race of scholars, the Ka-El are met with suspicion and caution by most and reverence in equal measures. Their long history is tangled with Dragons to the point most don't care to separate the two races.

The Ka-El are known for their ram like horns, Pawed cat like legs, and long fluffy tails.

Ecology and Habitats
The origin of the Ka-El is unknown, as they were moved by dragons across what is now the empire so long ago that such knowledge is forgotten. The Ka-El however are known to only take what is absolutely necessary from their environment.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Ka-El are known to be mostly vegetarian in nature, rarely requiring the consumption of meats and if so only small amounts. Usually meat consumption only happens in emergencies and to correct deficiencies.

Social Structure
The Ka-El's social structure is a rather new development, as for much of their history they were under draconic rule. It is built on logic and knowledge, one only attains positions of power or prestige by being an expert in their field and directly competing with others.
That said, they strive to keep the peace by focusing entirely on logic and efficiency. Social gatherings are often seen as chances to learn, teach, grow, and polish one's skills in friendly debate. As such, positions of importance are chosen by experts and peers as much as by the general populace. If one does not impress or have something new, innovative, or creative to add to a discussion they are not likely to win the favor or the job.
Facial characteristics
They are defined by their sharp strong features that often give the impression of bein unimpressed and rather judgmental of others. Their only other prominent features are their horns.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
After the events that led to the downfall of Dragons, the Ka-El made themselves a home and founded a kingdom in the province of Chinait to the north. That said they can often be found traveling the expanse of the empire and in every province serving as teachers and scholars.
Average Intelligence
They are incredibly intelligent and their long lifespans lead to an amassing of impressive amounts of information. As such they were used by the Dragons as child rearers and teachers.

The Ka-El's uncanny ability to detect danger and magic alike is something of legend.

Naming Traditions
The Ka-El often name their offspring after important figures, places, times, and events in history. If that is not the case they will choose names based on their fields of expertise and knowledge.
Beauty Ideals
Ka-El beauty ideals are unique in that the more evidence of a long and storied life the more beautiful a being. This is reflected in a love of things as mundane as sunspots, wrinkles, scars, tattoos, ect. The more one has lived and experienced the more the Ka-El appreciate everything other races would consider flaws.
Courtship Ideals
Courtship for the Ka-El takes many forms as it mimics the traditions and cultures of their partners. That said they do have their own custom of flower language and, for some, a tendency to near smother their partner with care.
Relationship Ideals
Communication is the ideal of a Ka-El's relationship. They strive to ever improve their communications and understanding of their partner. As with all things they do they work hard to achieve this. Aside from this the ideal is a partnership that continues to grow and pushes each party to continue to better themselves and their understandings of what ever they are passionate about.
Average Technological Level
Ever studying ways to improve the efficiency and ease of life across the empire, the Ka-El have helped to develop great works of technology such as their work in the development of airships though still a work in progress, their help with the irrigation systems and auto feeders employed primarily by the Trenlodge Province, and their advancements in archeological tools in the Northern Wastes.
Common Dress Code
The Ka-El favor short wrap style pants and thin silk shirts accompanied by floral printed vests. They often wear glasses or monocles, and have fine chains of bells hanging from their horns.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Much of Ka-El culture was lost to the Draconic imperium's reign and subjugation of their race. What is left though is a culture rich on storytelling, writing, and performance of historic events. They pride themselves on being a catch all for the lore and history of the world and of all realms of information.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The Ka-El are seen as both brilliant and terrifying, they are regarded with caution and no little suspicion even still due to their close ties with Dragons. While their expertise and knowledge is appreciated most races try to avoid them if possible because of their involvement historically with the Draconic Imperium. Few pay enough attention to note that they were not part of that by choice.

Average Physique
The Ka-El tend to be rather unassuming though hardly delicate in build. They are a sturdy but not particularly strong race, favoring study over physical endeavors.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
The Ka-el tend towards being of various pastel colorations, generally ranging from blues, pinks, and purples. Their horns are often an iridescent kind of pale purple and their hair is much the same with the addition of silver.
