Verdor
The Verdor are a wise if mysterious race residing in the Akuilin Province. They are often slightly off-putting to others because of their blunt nature and semi-disturbing appearance, but mean well and wish to share their appreciation for life with others.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Verdor are wraith like entities. They are neither quadrupedal nor bipedal, instead lacking a physical connection with the ground. Easily mistaken for ghosts, they are mystifyingly translucent and yet wholly solid and physical to the touch. It is not uncommon to faintly see their skeletal structure, despite seeing no other internal workings.
Genetics and Reproduction
Outside of the Verdor themselves no one is sure how they reproduce, both because no one is brave enough to ask directly or indirectly, and because those that have received sarcasm and belittlement instead of an answer.
Ecology and Habitats
They are native to the lands bordering the northern wastes, a rocky relatively barren area with harsh winds and a deep chill. They need little to sustain them which is thought to be the only reason they have survived the harsh environment for so long.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They require less food than most other races but are omnivorous, traditionally they previously practiced ritual cannibalism but have since put the practice to rest given they have no need of it anymore with the trade routes of the empire in place.
