The Church
995 O.V- The Founding
The Church is a religious organization founded in Eldia by Lauren Vans, a former student of King Wilson who discovered Old Blood hidden within an ancient labyrinth in Moonsgrave. He believed that the blood could be used for healing in a process known as Transfusion. King Wilson did not fully trust the blood, but saw that its properties did in fact have tremendous healing capabilities. Lauren believed the blood was a miracle and created the Church to distribute the blood across the city to anyone in need. 1039 O.V.-The Witch Plague
A mysterious illness effects the citizens of Morley. Quickly, the Church in Eldia became renowned, attracting the sick and afflicted, who were seeking refuge from their ailments. King Wilson retreats from the war with Sarkonos and falls behind his walls. The Church utilizes blood Transfusion to heal its society from the Witch Plague. During this time, King Wilson unfortunately dies. 1053 O.V.- Founding of the First Hunter and the Beast Scourge
With a rise in the Church's power as a result of its popularity, the monarchy fell. A new threat arose in the form of the Beast Scourge. To deal with the threat, a warrior from Church named Ludwig Plesner rose to the occasion. Following Ludwig's example, members of the Church as well as citizens began to fight the Beast Scourge as well. To this day, many Morleyans attribute modern hunting to the Church.
