Akanshi

A tribe that live in the expansive Soleri led by Takso Asaah.  The Akanshi tribe of Soleri only walk under the night-Burn, because they believe the Burn is the godly spiderweb spun by the Animal Trickster God of the same name.
The Akanshi tribe is notable for their crisscrossed skin. They partake in the scarification of their entire body, but unlike the Ankole facial scar patterns that create a bump of raised flesh, the Akanshi scar their body in low, long lines that form into whitened flesh scars. They do this over their bodies in a web-like pattern, until their skin looks like it is covered in a spiderweb. It gives off the effect of a smashed porcelain face to those of the Iron Empire, but to other Soleri it looks like a beautiful pattern of connectivity, showing how that person is connected to everything around them.
The traditional weapon of the Akanshi tribe is a wooden web that can be splayed to catch, but tightly wound to seriously wound. Examples names within the Akanshi tribe:
