Ankole
This tribe is the largest tribe that has traditional cattle in Soleri. Other tribes travel and hunt packs of wild animals, but this one has a massive herd of cattle that they travel alongside. Marriage requires a trade in cows within Ankole. The parents of both sides agree how much should be paid to the parents of the to-be wife, then the man trades that many to be under their ownership. They possess herds of the type of cattle found in the Soleri lands named Ankole. They are like traditional cows except much larger horns top their head. A custom the Ankole follow is to bow their heads in greeting to emulate the Tavathi animal God bowing its head in the ancient stories.
The Ankole tribeswomen receive a small scarification pattern on their temple when they become mothers. The more children they have, the more of the pattern they complete. This is because the Ankole worship mothers above all else and the scars are an outward sign of what the mother has done; given birth.
Traditional weapon – A Bident resembling the horns of the Ankole.
