Dragon Rider

The people inside Vaskeer tend to believe that the Dragon Riders are a mythical class of Heroes that protect them from the evils of the apocalyptic outside world. They are actually a Creed instilled by the rulers of the outside world to ensure that none escape the Ivory Wall and infect them. The Seven have since then been shattered and split into small shards that still retain parts of their power to spread more freely. The Dragon Riders all hold a shard of one of the Seven that protects them from the zombie plague within the country. They were created 500 years ago when the Wall was raised and have remained there since. They stopped aging due to the shard of the Seven given to them, and now suffer from immortality. What happened to Veler’s shard? Was in his Windspear which is now lost to time…
The Dragon Riders unfortunately have to spend most of their time killing birds and Soul Eaters that fly towards the tops of the Wall, because they also carry the zombie plague, meaning over the years the Dragon Riders have gotten more lax and bored with just killing birds in the sky. The shard of the Seven they carry expands their lifespan and protects them from the plague, but if they lose it they would become Husks.
