DRAMATIS PERSONAE
Lord Dralis Kilrich of Redburn. Dralis is the son of Lord Cedrik Kilrich, former Lord of Redburn. Lord Cedrik perished in the Inferno of Souls alongside his bannermen, leaving Redburn in a vulnerable state that Dralis is trying his best to fix. Possesses the Burnfire, a whip that burns its targets with unholy flames, causing great pain and suffering, which they gained during the Burning War and has been passed down the family line.Culture
Compared to the rest of the Iron Empire, House Kilrich is considered fanatical. They, of course, partake in the Iron Creed as demanded by the ruling House Glore, but focus their zeal on the Ivory Wall itself. This started with the Dead Pilgrim and his journey detailed below. Kilrich view the Ivory Wall itself as an entity. It represents everything pure in the world and is a sight of unparalleled beauty. It keeps the Dead Pilgrim alive, and has a code of its own that the members of House Kilrich follow religiously and is kept within their ranks with the utmost secrecy. The Ivory Wall is a work of utmost perfection and its dazzling sight is lost on the impure mortals of Vaskeer. Kilrich includes themselves in this. This is why the pilgrims of Kilrich devote their lives to rid themselves of corruption, trying to become as 'pure' as possible. This starts with the Dead Pilgrimage.
Those who return from the dead pilgrimage find themselves changed, no matter what they are like when they leave. Because of their views, most of House Kilrich do not care for the intricate policies of the Empire, warring noble Houses vying for power does not interest them. They are content with Redburn and what power/wealth they have. They obey their emperor, but mostly keep to themselves and their own unique, strange cultures. A pure noble is someone follows the Ivory Tenets, the name for Kilrich's rules. Nothing else is known about these tenets. The Dead Pilgrimage is done
There are rumors that all of House Kilrich return from the pilgrimage dead, and that they are corpses walking. What doesn't help the spread of these rumors is the cold acts of Kilrich, how they look down on all around them, their severely pale complexions and gaunt cheeks.
However, the Wineburner tried to bring some warmth back to the cold House Kilrich when he created Brandy out of base wine from Blossom Reach. Brandy has become increasingly popular amongst the Empire, as a delicacy not as expensive as Blossom Wines.

History
The Kilrich family was favored by the Glore family line since Glorius himself, and lived well in Gloripoli during the prime of the old Iron Kingdom. During the Great Settling, they were one of the first to embark. However, they did not have many useful skills that would help them gain large amounts of wealth or power in this new land, grown accustomed to the lavish life on Old Iron. This would set them behind other Houses who profitted from the Great Settling immensely. However, House Kilrich would still gain possession of Redburn, a port town along the Western coast of the Shield.
The previous leader of the Kilrich family died during the Great Settling, and was replaced by Sir Maximus Kilrich, who is now known as the Dead Pilgrim. After settling in Redburn, he felt drawn to the Ivory Wall across the waves. Against the wishes of his advisors and House, he embarked on a pilgrimage across the tumultuous waves of the Tall Sea. He was lost in he third centennial Burnstorm in 300AW on a wild pilgrimage to see the Ivory Wall up close by sailing the Tall Sea. He perished and was lost for many years, but later returned. He was dead, but stood tall and told the newly-established House Kilrich about the beauty of the Wall and his pilgrimage. Since then, the Dead Pilgrim has been said to appear during great pilgrimages in Iron. He appeared to lead the people in the Southern Exodus and it's subsequent abandonment. He then appeared during the resettling of the Thundering Flats a century later as an omen. He also appears to those of Kilrich who follow his pilgrimage to the Ivory Wall. Kilrich believe that the small part of the Ivory Terrace that can be felt at the Ivory Terrace is too easy to access, and is not worth the pilgrimage. It should be a challenge. As a rite of passage for Kilrich nobles, they embark by themselves to the west, seeking the Dead Pilgrim to guide them to the Ivory Wall, to change them for the better forever.
