Each race perceives each other as strange and alien. They do not understand each other and are very wary of each other. Recently, they have started trading unique goods, and the trades continue to grow, with some societal overlaps beginning to appear.
The races co-exist by staying in their respective realms.
The one thing that unites all the people is fear of what happens to your soul as you die. All fear being absorbed into another being, making murder and death from fighting far worse. Many fear The Burn as well, not wanting their soul to end up there, but know it is better than being soul eaten at least. They seek other ways to place their souls.
Everywhere, meat is scarce because of how difficult it is to get untainted meat in the wilds. The rich, everywhere, eat a lot of meat. It is luxurious and a sign of wealth and health. This includes animal product, cheese, eggs, fish, pork, and butter.
Veler's Sacrifice - A day of celebration that is multi-cultural, and celebrated everywhere.
Common Sayings: "Burn take you" - A curse saying that they hope your soul is taken by The Burn, an early death. "Rat bite your throat" A curse with differing methods that basically means they hope a small, inconsequential animal kills you so your soul i shamed by their small body. "The Burn" is somehow the same across all cultures. "Over the Burn" instead of over the moon "Veler's Spear Man!" "For Burn's sake" "Holy Ethos"
Murder is the worst offence in all cultures because to take one's soul is to sentence them to torment. Soldiers are the only exception, when fighting for their nation/leaders. Different communities have different social frameworks, but most hold stealing, raping, killing amongst themselves as bad. Outlawed for treason.
