Soul Eater

These are gargantuan birds that rival dragons in size. They are black as night and look like a cross between a vicious vulture and a powerful eagle. They are somehow capable on feeding on souls as they rise towards the Burn and fly around snatching souls out of the air, growing in both size and power as they do so.
Soul Eaters have become a sign of evil or the devil in many cultures, seen as predators that haunt the sky. The only things that feast on souls, different to the Lost. Soul Eaters are malicious and evil. The antithesis to the holy and good Dragon Riders.
