The Soul Ordeal

An ordeal for guilt after committing a crime is to slay a sacrifice and have two people touch the body as it does—the accuser and the accused. Whichever one of the two that the soul goes into is guilty, as determined by God.
This relates to the Soul Logic, where the soul of the dead pass into their killer as they die. This idea has been passed on to a trial of guilt because of the fact that several people can be touching a corpse, and the soul is only absorbed into one, seemingly at random. Instead, those of the Iron Creed explain that it is the will of God on who the soul goes into, and that it is a clear sign of innocence. This ordeal is rarely done for the simple fact that it requires a sacrifice.
