Westgate

The mirror to northgate, Westgate is dedicated to entertainment and the arts. It houses not only the great Emerald Theatre, but also the Zareen Arena. Beyond those landmarks, it is filled with dozens of stages and performing grounds that are used by the various troupes within the city when they are not being called upon to serve in the upper city. Southgate also contains the city's Red Light district, the only place for a legal brothel to operate within the city. Due to this restriction, the limited space within the Red Light district has surprisingly high property values. This also means that, between the Red Light district, the Theatre, and the Arena, southgate is the most likely ploace in the city for the low class and the upper crust to bump elbows.
