The Cosmically Attuned feel the power of the Universe pulsing within The Void Between the Stars. Given a large enough energy source, such as a star, they can syphon off some of that power to augment the effectiveness of their own spells.
Malady

A disease unique to mages and other magic casters, Malady is caused by a temporary misalignment with the magical fields which allow for the use of Magic.

Individuals experiencing misattunement are physically unable to cast Magic due to a misalignment from the magical fields of Vazdimet and a subsequent inability to generate Imperium.
unattuned

The unattuned were born without an innate attunement to the magical fields of Vazdimet. Without treatment to cure the condition, most are unable to cast Magic on their own, although their metabolism will still produce Imperium.
