House Quinton

House Quinton is not a real family bound by blood. It is an organization that takes in orphans and train them to become mercenaries and arcane artists. They are the hidden security in Wildermoore. Their public face is House Quinton and it's surviving members who act as the leaders of the Academy. They are directly controlled by the House Quinton who reports to the king or queen of Wildermoore. The leader of House Quinton does have a lot of power though as they are the last ones to decide what happens with their mercenaries. The queen can consult with House Quinton if she wants something done and so can most of the families. Everyone knows about this Academy and what they produce. Its existence isn't a secret but who belongs to it, is.
The Academy is known just as House Quinton and those who have graduated from it like to call themselves as Scholars of Death, Shadows, Night, Darkness. Emo stuff is right their alley. But the most elite group of assassins are known as the Plague, just like Quinton Ray was known as the Plague.

History

Quinton Ray was an assassin who joined the Brotherhood of Justice to defeat the raiders. He killed other leaders in cold blood and stole their money. He became feared as the Plague who kills those who anger Wildermoore. When he came back from his slaughter party, he retreated to his privacy wanting to live the rest of his life in peace and never kill anyone again. It didn't work so well as he married a woman much younger than him and the woman made him teach her the art of assassination. He taught her but made her promise never to teach that disgusting skill to their children. She didn't and the House Quinton became just the public face to the Plague.
