Luvite, God of the Hunt

Sylas froze as Roran lifted a single finger, barely a movement to an untrained eye, but to any proper hunter, nearly a scream to silence and stillness. With barely a breath leaving Roran's lungs, an arrow was nocked, drawn, and sent racing towards the prey that the two desperately needed. The arrow soared true, and sank into the depth of the future venison's chest. As near painless as possible, the deer dropped to the green carpeted ground, Roran's shallow breath of the shot foretelling the animal's last. "And with that, we should have enough food to at least last the next few weeks. Still can't believe you insisted on spending the morning in prayer. It was our training that bagged the deer, not some god's will." Sylas said, knife drawn to begin skinning the deer. A sharp sigh escaped Roran's pursed lips. "Believe as you wish, but I know we have food for a while and an extra few pairs of gloves for the winter. I'll thank Luvite for the chance, and reward myself for the skill. Someday you'll understand." Roran passed, thoughtfully rubbing his salt-and-pepper beard, "Well, either that or you'll starve. I'll leave that to you."
