Children of Heaven

The children worship an entity they call Heaven's Host, which is said to exist as a single spirit or intelligence which splits and coalesces into many and varied forms. A mere thousand years ago, it was not unheard of to see some lesser members of the Host in the realms of men, and it is said that angels were seen among the ranks of Imperial armies. As revolutions and reforms swept Sarpor, the state’s religiosity eroded, and the Host seemed to slowly disappear. There have been only three credible reports of their presence in the past two hundred years.   Worship of the Host is the most common faith in Sarpor. Followers see them as champions of mankind, protectors of the innocent, and bringers of light and order.   In past times, the faith was known for being extremely intolerant of those who followed other religions, or who existed outside of established gender norms – these things were considered to violate the divine order and disrupt the harmony of the universe, creating demons. In most places, the religion has moved to a milder and more tolerant form, but pockets of fervent xenophobia still survive, most notably in Atlantis.   Clerics following the Host have access to the Law, Glory, Community, and Nobility domains.
