Jann
Jann are mortal humanoids with elemental ancestry. Depending on the alignment of their djinni ancestor, jann have a natural affinity for a particular element. With the exception of oreads, who have established their own civilization at Nexus, almost all were born in Sarpor because the historical prevalence of elemental magic there lead to human-elemental relationships. Binding djinnis has been illegal since the establishment of the Empire, so most Sarporean jann alive today have only a small fraction of inhuman blood.

Biological Traits
Ifrits are descended from fire elementals, such as efreets. Most have pointy ears, red or mottled horns on the brow, and hair that flickers and waves as if it were aflame. Some possess skin the color of polished brass or have charcoal-hued scales covering their arms and legs. / +2 Dex, +2 Cha, -2 Wis; Medium; 30 feet; fire resistance 5; burning hands 1/day; fire affinity; darkvision 60.
Undines are descended from water elementals, such as marids. Undines display a wide variation of skin tones, ranging from pale turquoise to deep blue to sea green. An undine’s straight, thick hair tends to be of a similar, yet slightly darker color than her skin. Their physiques show human diversity in regard to overall height and body type. Aside from their coloration, their most racially defining traits remain their fin-like ears and webbed hands and feet. / +2 Dex, +2 Wis, -2 Strength; Medium; 30 feet; cold resistance 5; hydraulic push 1/day, water affinity; darkvision 60.
Oreads are descended from earth elementals. They are strong and solidly built, with skin and hair colored stony shades of black, brown, gray, or white. A few bear more pronounced signs of their elemental heritage—skin that shines like polished onyx, rocky outcroppings protruding from their flesh, glowing gemstones for eyes, or hair like crystalline spikes. / +2 Str, +2 Wis, -2 Cha; Medium; 30 feet; acid resistance 5; magic stone 1/day; earth affinity; darkvision 60.
Sylphs are descended from air elementals. They tend to be pale and thin to the point of appearing delicate, but their skinny bodies are often more resilient than they look. Many sylphs can easily pass for humans with some effort, though the complex blue markings that swirl across their skin reveal their elemental ancestry. / +2 Dex, +2 Int, -2 Con; Medium; 30 feet; electricity resistance 5; feather fall 1/day; air affinity; darkvision 60.
